FQHA Newsletter ~ Fall 2015
FQHA Top Breeder-Of-The-Month, Lifetime Membership
Special, and more.
This month we are beginning a new
promotion of our long-term FQHA members and foundation
Quarter Horse breeders. Starting with November
2015 we have selected an FQHA top foundation Quarter Horse
Breeder-of-the-Month from among our current members.
Featured will be FQHA members who have registered at least
10 horses with FQHA. A link to their websites
will be included or other contact information, plus a brief
description of the focus of their breeding programs. This
will change each month and feature a new breeder. Please
visit each of our new breeders each month and see what they
have to offer in the area of foundation bred stock.
Our FQHA
Breeder-of-the-Month for November 2015 is Daniel Gardner of
Sunrise Farms, FQHA Lifetime Member #2786. Sunrise Farms is
located in Harpersville, Alabama and focuses on high
percentage Driftwood and Hancock bred performance horses.
Visit them at their website:

The 2016 breeding season is already on some people's minds.
We have started getting emails from mare owners who are
looking for good foundation bred Quarter Horse stallions for
their mares. The most recent email was one of our Swedish
FQHA members. The vast majority of our FQHA members only own
a mare or two and may not want to keep a stallion or have
the facilities for one. Yet they are interested in
perpetuating existing Foundation Quarter Horse bloodlines
and raising a few foals. Stallion owners who normally do not
breed outside mares might want to consider accommodating
some of these mare owners.
It is that time of the year that we offer one or more
specials to save our FQHA members a little money.
The November 2015 special will focus be for our yearly
FQHA Lifetime Membership drive. Remember that if you have a
current membership we will pro-rate what you have left in
that current membership and refund it to you if you choose
to purchase an FQHA Lifetime membership at the special, one
week rate, of just $150. That is a 25% savings off our
normal price. This sale begins immediately and ends at
midnight on Thanksgiving day next week. And don't forget
that one of the perks of your Lifetime FQHA membership is
that you get a lifetime of free advertising at the FQHA
website.
A reminder: When
contacting the association please remember that almost all
communication through the office is electronic and in
writing (email, pdf, online payments, etc.). This keeps our
costs at a minimum and helps keep our fees low. Please be
sure that we always have an updated email address for you.
That is it for the
Fall 2015 news. Thanksgiving is a short week away for all of
our USA members. And Christmas is just around the
corner. I wish all of you the most joyous and family
filled holidays where ever you spend them!
Sincerely,
Ann Charles

Summer 2015 FQHA Newsletter
Some Perspective From FQHA
Since 1998 FQHA has served as an association dedicated to registering foundation bred Quarter Horses to the highest standards in the field. Our members are worldwide and in every state of the USA. If your interest is showing, it is not our goal to sanction shows or tell you how to run them. That is best done by enthusiastic Foundation Quarter Horses owners and breeders on a local and regional basis. But we do set a viable definition for the standard of what is a Foundation Quarter Horse. Our goals have evolved a bit over time. We are still here to preserve and promote this incredible breed, but also to facilitate your breeding programs, regional shows, and other activities involving Foundation bred Quarter Horses, and do so as efficiently and inexpensively (for you) as possible. We may not be the biggest (higher standards do make for lower total registration numbers) but we believe we are the best. We hope you agree.
When contacting the association please remember that almost all communication through the office is electronic and in writing (email, pdf, online payments, etc.). This keeps our costs at a minimum and helps keep our fees low. Please be sure that we always have an updated email address for you. Also, when making online payments please be sure your email address is correct with PayPal who handles all of our online payments through a secure server. It is worth remembering you do not have to have an account with them to make payments online to us through them. Also if our emails are being blocked by your Spam filter it will delay your results.
Especially important, for those of you have been asking . . . A number of summer specials are in the works so please watch for those via emails through our email contact service which is Constant Contact. And, if you wish to be removed from our email service it is easy to do by clicking on the unsubscribe link and you will receive no further emails from us until you request them.
On a finishing note . . . I hope you all had a wonderful July 4th weekend! Enjoy your summer, your Foundation Quarter Horses, and watch for FQHA fee specials this Summer.
Sincerely,
Ann Charles
